Sharon Yvonne Stone, born March 10, 1958 in Meadville (Pennsylvania) was the daughter of Dorothy Lawson, a former factory worker, and Joseph William Stone, a maker of tools and dies. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are three of her siblings. Stone was in second grade when she entered kindergarten at the age of five. She graduated from Saegertown High School, located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. The Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw her take home Miss Crawford County. Stone moved together with her aunt from New Jersey, where she began a modeling career. A month later, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. Stone soon moved to Europe and spent a full year with her aunt in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone was disillusioned with the model world that was thriving in Europe took up acting while living in Europe. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" which received mixed receptions.
